Philippians 3:10

Sacrifice
I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death.

To know someone requires a genuine relationship, you get to know what they like and what they dislike;  their strengths and weaknesses. Paul wanted this relationship with christ it's all he sought for, he went after it with full passion. He didnt just want to be justified  or convicted and made new, he had a genuine interest for christ. The death of christ canceled the penalty of sin and his resurrection canceled the power of sin. The power of the resurrection can change any person and make them new again.  Jesus was betrayed by his family, his followers and he was beaten to a pulp and when he was denied he fogave those who denied him. While he was being tortured he didnt say a word, this to me is breath taking, the love he has for us is better than any love or satisfaction we could hope for. All he asks of us is that we share his word and the power of his death and resurrection, it is because of him we can be washed clean,  we must have that genuine heart in getting to know him fully like paul had. Till our death we should praise him and worship him for no other man is worthy, he is king and he paid the ultimate price for us, that's a love ive never known before.
