•Philippians 3 12-13•

1)2 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13)Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead.

In this new life, sanctified through the cross of calvary and the Holy spirit I find it strenuous to not dwell on the past. I dwell in how much of a wretched sinner I was and im in awe that God could love me enough to redeem me and bring forth new life. "Pressing on towards the Goal" is the main idea to this passage, pressing on in the belief of eternal life. To know that this isnt our home and that we serve a big God whose holiness is merely indescribable, its not explainable. He is perfect and just, he is love, mercy and grace. To know that once we have repented and confessed our sins to him that by grace we are saved. We are saved from the hell that we deserve, we do not deserve his loving kindness. For he is the way the truth and the light, he is the creator of the universe and he wants us to come to him.
