•Anchor To my Soul•

Proverbs 4:23 keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. The heart can be deceitful if not guarded and protected. In this psalms it refers to “she” being the word of God, our life line; we are to hold fast to the promises and the word of God. It states in this passage to retain wisdom and understanding mentioned not once but twice and with the lords doctrine that’s exactly what we gain. We become protectors of the word, protectors of our hearts and we stay away from the evil things of this world. Proverbs 4:11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. I think of how coming into ignite I had no knowledge of what was to come and I had little faith, I knew this path was the will of the lord; I was afraid to change. I wasn’t equipped at all to be here in Guatemala or even to be apart of this program, but God called me out of the midst of the sea, restored and renewed. God gave me the knowledge and ability to teach, and a willingness to get the tasks done that he has laid out before me. The lord is eager and willing to save all those who are lost, and I can finally say it’s worth it; it’s always been worth it. I think of the word and how I was lost without it, I chose sin over God and I was blind to the chaos around me. Gods word is a light unto my path and the hope we have as an anchor to my soul. Proverbs 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. The flesh is slowly dying and being restored by our lord and his word.
