•Depart from Evil•

Psalms 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Depart from evil, in our flesh we are evil it is now human nature to do evil. Evil meaning lying, cheating, stealing, adultery, and worshiping other Gods. My thoughts can sometimes be evil, but because I am saved by grace God is quick to correct me. If I can depart from evil then I will do good; thinking less of myself and more of others. Jesus was sent here as a servant, he served God and others, who am I to not do the same? In this life God intended for us to live a joyful life and to have peace, it is an everyday struggle to simply let go of my hurts and offer them up as a sacrifice. I do know that when I seek to give him everything I have peace, peace greater than life itself. The thing I’ve been searching for my whole life is peace. Now to pursue it is hard, but I feel that once I’ve had a taste of the peace only God can give I want nothing else. His love is greater than any love his agape love strengthens me, he encourages me to seek peace; to draw near to him so that I will depart from evil. I’ve been so inspired lately, from the children I teach to the missionary teams; God has been so faithful to show me my worth. God is so faithful to keep pulling me in closely when I drift away. Application: I will seek peace and pursue it, depart from evil and do good.
