One sinner destroys much good
Ecclesiastes 9:18
Wisdom is better than weapons of war; but one sinner destroyeth much good. Wisdom meaning meekness, righteousness and “a calm during the storm”; will conquer more than a loud mouth One sinner, one bad sour apple destroys much good, it will destroy the foundation of good. In the beginning of this chapter it says “whatever your hands find to do, do it with your might” Ecclesiastes 9:10; these two verseses correlate merely because I have been a fool amongst fools. I’m God’s bond servant and his treasure yet I seek thanks and appreciation, when I’m entitled to neither. The lord should be my main concentration during these times, not wheather or not I’m doing the job exceptional or not. I’ve noticed that when he isn’t my main concentration I become burned out and deafened in a sense. We shouldn’t rely on our own understanding, but allow full concentration on the lord and the work at hand. This means possessing meekness and righteousness during the storm, during the bumps in the road. We can’t avoid them so we must climb over and continue to strive for wisdom and discipline with the jobs the lord has placed before us.
